We Love Summer

Project Objectives:

After the success of We Love Summer last year WIN Television and NBN Television once again came to 3RD sense to create the 2009/10 website showcasing the best of summer in regional Australia. Welovesummer.com.au is a rich information and entertainment portal that gives locals and visitors a raft of information about events, activities and ‘Must Do’s across 26 Australian regions.


Outcomes Achieved:

Launched in time for the summer holidays, the site allows visitors to choose their region and access details about local events, fishing, activities, maps and weather to plan their summer break. Last years successful trivia quiz is back. Sponsored by Honda Jazz, this years quiz is even bigger with a chance to win a great family holiday. There is also a place to post your best summer photos, access to the cricket blog, a summer food section with a great selection of recipes, the local TV Guide and, of course, some favorite games from 3RD sense.

WIN also required smart integration of sponsors into the website to offer maximum effectiveness for advertisers and ensure that sponsor content looked like it was part of the site. 3RD sense worked closely with the WIN/NBN sales team and sponsors to ensure seamless integration. As a result, rather than just a series of banners, McDonalds, Honda, Weis, Tangalooma resort and Lipton Ice Tea are integrated into the website. There is also space on all the pages to promote local partners in all the regions.

Welovesummer.com.au is another example of utilising digital media to provide rich content to your clients, reinforce your product and work for your sponsors and advertisers.
