National Geographic Channel - Hardtime

National Geographic were looking for an innovative way to promote their latest program about America's hardest prisons - Hardtime. They approached 3RD sense with a brief to create a game that would help generate traffic to the Nat Geo website, promote the content of the program and help drive viewership of the show on the channel.

3RD sense came up with the Hardtime game. Featuring a prisoner incarcerated in one of the prisons on the show, players had to manage the prisoner through a series of situations in which real prisoners would find themselves. The better the challenge was managed, the more privileges the prisoner gained.

The results were excellent. The game doubled Nat Geo's website traffic for the month it was available on the site.
