Max '90's Know All' Quiz

Max is Australia’s favourite music channel for over 25’s. With a great mix of local and international music programming, Max also offers its viewers the chance to get involved in the channel through mobile and online interactive opportunities – music requests, voting and online content.

The Brief
Max were looking for ways to extend their opportunities for audience interaction by developing an on-air and online music quiz. Tasked with keeping viewers watching for longer, driving them to the Max website and encouraging them to register for Max email updates, the quiz needed to deliver a fun, interactive experience that viewers that would see viewers returning multiple times to the Max website.

The Solution
3RD sense worked with Max to develop the 80’s Know All music quiz. A multiple choice quiz where players had to answer a certain number of questions per round, the quiz was designed to gradually
get harder as play progressed and draw players back to keep playing.

Players registered to post their scores and the highest 1400 scorers at the end of the 4 week period the game was up for were eligible to play in the Know All final. The final was held on a Sunday and players competed all day and at the end of the day the player with the highest score was awarded the major prize.

  • Traffic to the Max website increased by 5 times during the month the quiz was live compared to the previous month
