Fly free with HP
HPs latest promotion involved a prize of two return tickets for every purchase of a selected HP notebook or desktop.
The Brief
HPs creative agency Publicis Mojo, approached 3RD sense Australia to design a simple flying game that promoted ‘Fly free with HP’, maintained the look and feel of the brand whilst adding a fun element to the promotional portal. The target audience was male 25 – 40.
The Solution
Utilising the established ‘fly free’ artwork, 3RD sense created a free flowing plane game. Players were required to guide the ‘HP’ aircraft through an office environment, out a window and into the open air. Players had to negotiate all manner of obstacles to keep their plane in the air and beat their highest score.
The game is simple and mouse driven. By having no end point players were not restricted to how far they could fly their plane. At the end screen the player would be given their current game score and their highest score so there was always encouragement to do better.
Throughout the game there are various references to the ‘fly free with HP’ promotion and the HP logo. Specific product placement was incorporated by having HP computers sitting on the desks within the office environment.
Full details of the promotion were available direct from the end game screen.
