Deliverables: iOS App, Android App, Multiple Regions, Salesforce Integration, Dynamic Hosting

The Challenge

When a recipient gets a Cochlear implant, the operation is just the start of their journey towards getting the best hearing outcomes. There is a rehabilitation process. Music sounds bad.

Most recipients focus on what is vital to them:

  • The spoken word

  • Environmental sounds

Music can get forgotten.

Imagine a world without music.

Studies show that by making an effort to actively listen to music, the brain starts to ‘rewire’ and enjoyment of music can significantly increase.

Can we use a game to motivate Cochlear Implant Recipients to spend time actively listening to music, develop some additional music based listening skills and improve their enjoyment of music?

WE DELIVERED

Set in the world of Harmony, which has lost its music, Bring Back the Beat challenges players to bring the music back to Harmony by playing a range of activities.

They can also connect to Spotify and track their real world music listening activity.

The can play and interact with:

EUPHONY - A music tree filled with instruments to listen to, play with and distort.

OCTAVIA - A game to test and develop pitch perception.

CONCERTEER - A concert management game where you have to select the right performers for the show.

QUIZZICAL - A music quiz to test the learning and your music knowledge.
